This tincture is designed to provide a cleansing of the body with concentration on the urinary tract. Licorice root is considered the great detoxifier by the Chinese. Uva ursi and juniper berries are specific treatments for the urinary tract, both toning and cleansing it. Corn silk is an excellent mild diuretic, soothing to the urinary tract. Yarrow works on cleansing the system, both through the urinary tract and as a diaphoretic that makes a person sweat more. Burdock is a cleanser with an especially positive effect on the liver. It has a building and purifying quality.

NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Distilled water, ethanol
DIRECTIONS: Adults, take 40 drops (2 ml) with both breakfast and supper, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Take a few hours before or after taking alkaloid medications, thiamine, iron or zinc supplements. Do not take with highly acidic foods or medications which may acidify urine.
RECOMMENDED USE: Used in Traditional Herbal Medicine as a diuretic and to help relieve irritation or mild inflammation of the urinary tract.
DURATION OF USE: Diuretic: For occasional use only. Urinary tract antiseptic: Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond one week.
CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS: Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking anticoagulants. Consult a healthcare practitioner if complaints or symptoms such as fever, dysuria, spasms, or blood in urine occur during use. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have a kidney, cardiovascular or liver disorder, hypokalemia, high or low blood pressure, diabetes or edema, abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhea. Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. Hypersensitivity is known to occur, in which case, discontinue use. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.
